Boredom of Poetry was once a short song on a CDR also called Boredom of Poetry that I released on No Fans Records NFR11 in 2006. The original song cycle was built on a thirly recorded improvisation of Appalachian dulcimer, cifteli, Thai harp and zither. These two longer pieces feature the same lo-fi recording layered with four further recordings made in different places at different times: a pro-studio drum freakout, a forgotten somewhat meditational session of unknown date, a failed attempt at a jazz album from a couple of months ago, and a harmonica/Casio pairing from last week. To my ears it all fits.
